Using Smart Schedule

Use Smart Schedule on any paid plan to arrange ready drafts across a reviewed week, fortnight or full-month social plan.

Reviewed 2026-09-06

Smart Schedule is available on Starter, Growth and Scale. It places a queue of drafts across a planned week, fortnight or month using best-time data while keeping your preferred order. For the wider workflow, see planning a month of social content.

The weekly calendar is only a focused view of the schedule. It does not limit Smart Schedule to one week or prevent merchants on any Flockly plan from choosing future dates manually. Smart Schedule is available on every paid plan for arranging a queue of ready drafts across the longer planning window.

Prepare the drafts first

Smart Schedule works with drafts that you have already prepared. Before arranging the queue, check that each draft has the intended connected channels, caption and media. Resolve any media or publishing requirements Flockly shows so the resulting plan is ready for a useful review.

Put the drafts in the order you want them considered. Smart Schedule keeps that preferred order while placing the queue across the selected week, fortnight or month.

Choose the planning window

Use a week when you want to fill the immediate schedule, a fortnight when you are preparing the next two weeks, or a month when you are batching a wider campaign or product plan. A monthly plan remains editable: Smart Schedule arranges the drafts, while the calendar lets you inspect the upcoming week in detail.

Every paid plan includes the start date, weekly pace, planning window and weekend controls. You can also schedule any post manually.

Advanced controls on Scale

Open Advanced scheduling to set channel posting windows, blackout dates and minimum hours between proposed posts. All times follow your calendar timezone. A post sent to several channels must fit every selected channel's window. If the windows cannot overlap, Flockly leaves the affected drafts unscheduled and asks you to adjust the rules.

Save up to ten named rule sets for reuse. Saved rules contain cadence, weekend and advanced preferences; choose a fresh start date for each new plan. The workspace save indicator confirms when the settings are stored. Blackout dates remain explicit dates and should be reviewed before reuse.

The minimum gap applies within the proposed queue. Review other posts already on the calendar before confirming.

How best-time data is used

Flockly gives more weight to recent post performance and blends in per-network benchmarks when your own history is still limited. Suggestions show whether they are based on benchmarks, a blend or your own data.

Best-time suggestions are planning guidance rather than a guarantee of reach, engagement or sales. They help choose proposed slots, but the final decision remains with you.

Review the proposed schedule

Smart Schedule helps arrange your plan; it does not remove merchant review. Check the resulting schedule and each draft before it goes live.

During review, confirm that:

  • the drafts remain in the intended order;
  • each post has the right channels, caption and media;
  • the proposed dates and times fit the campaign; and
  • any connection or publishing requirements have been resolved.

Confirming the plan schedules the posts for the times you approved. It does not publish the whole plan immediately. You can later open a future scheduled post to update its caption or time, or cancel it before publishing.
